Compton Construction participates in National Volunteer Week

Delivering Little Libraries to our Community
With the warm spring weather breaking, Compton Construction spent an afternoon volunteering in the community last Friday. In a partnership with Besa and Hands on Central Ohio, Compton Construction installed Little Libraries around central Ohio to participate in National Volunteer Week. The little library program is designed to provide books to the community, with a “take a book, leave a book” approach. The libraries are recycled newspaper stands that were painted by volunteers.
There were six total libraries installed on Friday, including outdoor libraries at the Franklinton Community Gardens, and indoor libraries at St. Stephen’s Community House and the John R. Maloney Family Health and Wellness Center. All the books were donated by the community, and there are new and used books appropriate for all ages!
