Pursuit to Build a New Retail Space in the Short North

Compton Construction is excited to partner with Pursuit to build out a new 1440sq/ft retail space in the Short North. The new space will replace their current location at South Campus Gateway, and allow them to offer a larger selection and provide a better shopping experience. The new store is scheduled to open late this summer, and will be located at 937 North High St., right next door to Paradise Garage.

Pursuit is a retail suit store that started as an idea to make suit buying simple. Founder Nate DeMars, started Pursuit after graduating form The Ohio State University, which was an idea in he came up with in his MBA entrepreneurship class. Pursuit’s approach is to focus on great looking, slim fit clothing, at a reasonable price. They provide guidance to the first time suit buyer, as well as, to the long time professional.

The new Pursuit store will feature custom built cabinetry to display their suits and professional merchandise. The displays will highlight suggested styles and suit pairings, while providing an easy way to shop for exactly what you want. The open space will have a tailor station in the store, which is typically hidden away in other suit stores. Visitors will be able to watch the Tailor in action as she hems and stitches clothing to the exact measurement. The goal of the new location is to highlight the selection of suits and provide a unique experience to suit buying, without the pushy nature or gimmicks of other retail stores.
